RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—The VSP Global Premier Program announced it will roll out a series of new offerings designed to enhance patient flow, boost profitability, and provide additional practice support. The expansions include increased savings or credits based on certain VSP product  purchases and Premier levels, a national advertising campaign and  a series of community networking events around the country. “We understand that providing valuable patient care and juggling all it takes to optimize and grow a practice is no easy task,” said VSP Global chief network officer Michelle Skinner. “This is why the VSP Premier Program is constantly evolving and looking for new ways to not only be a resource, but offer real and tangible solutions for doctors to grow and differentiate their practice.”

In addition to existing programs the VSP Premier Program currently offers, eligible practices will now be able to take advantage of the following:

  • VSP Premier Program Shared Savings: Between August and mid-October 2021, network doctors will be eligible for a one-time shared savings payment between $500 and $10,000 based on purchases of VSP products and their Premier Program level.

  • Eyefinity Practice Management Credit: Eligible practices will receive up to a $2,200 credit on a new or existing Eyefinity Practice Management subscription when their practice reaches Platinum or Gold level by the end of 2021.

  • A national advertising campaign which will encourage VSP’s more than 80 million members to visit all the private practices participating in the VSP Premier Program for their annual comprehensive eye exam. Starting in August, a mix of television, radio, streaming audio, social media, and digital advertising will highlight the important role doctors of optometry play not only in delivering eyecare, but also in helping monitor overall health, the company said. In addition, Platinum and Gold  level practices will have access to a robust digital marketing toolkit with campaign assets to support their local efforts in attracting more patients.

  • Community Networking Events will also start in August. These will be a series of doctor forums and roundtable events will take place across the country, giving doctors the chance to network, connect, and engage in valuable peer-to-peer discussions on topics important to them. VSP network doctors will learn more about these opportunities in regular network communications
The new offers follow VSP's recent announcement, as reported by VMAIL in May, to partner with industry leaders Carl Zeiss Vision and Hoya Vision Care to expand choice and flexibility for VSP network doctors participating in the VSP Premier Program.
