An Infographic Shows How Mobile Health Apps are Booming

By CLICK Staff

More than twice the number of smartphone users used their phones to look for medical or healthcare information online in the fall of 2012 than the prior year. And the number continues to escalate as new ways of interacting and scouring resources for data come onstream.

This nifty infographic, from IndusNet based on information from mHealthshare brings the numbers home and helps shed light on this explosive new trend.

"mHealth" is defined by MobileStorm, on mHealthshare as "mHealth refers to the delivery, facilitation and communication of health-related information via mobile telecommunication and multimedia technologies—including cell phones, tablet devices, PDAs and wireless infrastructure in general."
