NEW YORK—Direct-to-consumer customizable eyewear brand Pair Eyewear has announced it is raising $60 million in funding and bringing on additional celebrity investors as it seeks more licensing deals and partnerships. New Enterprise Associates and Connect Ventures led this funding round; Javelin Venture Partners Management and Norwest Venture Partners also joined, bringing Pair’s total funding to $73.5 million. In addition, actor Sterling K. Brown, model Olivia Culpo, NFL player Christian McCaffrey, NBA player D’Angelo Russell and pro gamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins have invested.

Pair plans to use the new funding to hire more staff and spur growth, including potential retail distribution. In September, VMAIL reported that Pair Eyewear partnered with Hy-Vee supermarkets to bring Pair Eyewear kiosks into select Hy-Vee locations across the company’s eight-state region.
