NEW YORK—Danshari, the made-in-Japan eyewear brand that offers a collection of handmade acetate and pure Japanese titanium eyewear, will open its American subsidiary in July. In addition to the Danshari collection, Danshari USA will also offer its Dansharian luxury brand, born from the collaboration between  Danshari and Alain Miklitarian. Both will be available to independent premium opticians in the U.S. and Canada. Danshari has appointed Lucio Lozza as chief executive officer for the North American market. Lozza brings several decades of wholesale experience in the eyewear industry, most in North America where he has served as CEO of Vuarnet USA and vice president of marketing, brand and product for Marcolin USA.

Danshari debuted in the European market at the beginning of 2020. Founded by Giuseppe La Boria, it offers extremely light and flexible frames with an elegant design. The brand is inspired by the Zen Minimalist philosophy.
