Theo and Artist Strook Present Limited Release Styles

Theo has partnered with Bruges-based artist Strook to do something on the theme of ‘Antwerp,’ the label's hometown, for a series of limited edition frames from the brand. Strook chose four elements that are represent the city: 'handthrowing', diamonds, the zoo and fashion, to create a drawing. Based on that drawing, Theo created four pairs of glasses: a classic, vintage model (Zoo), a feminine model (Diamond), a rounded, unisex model (Hand) and an aviator style (Fashion). The drawings by Strook have been chemically etched, engraving them into the metal with each model featuring a little piece of the symbol of the city in the upper left-hand corner. Strook said, “It was very important to me that the four designs would together form a whole. That's why I worked from a single drawing and a single theme in which the four glasses fit, instead of from four separate drawings.” Available as ophthalmics of suns, each model is available in eight colors, both matte and glossy. www.theo.be
