Modo Adds Styles to Several Collections for A/W 2012

More Images
Quick Take:
Modo’s Fall/Winter 2012 collections are dedicated to accentuating the subtle design details that set their styles apart. All pieces are handmade and finished in Japan with all metals made from titanium and plastics chosen from the newest collections of Italian and Japanese handmade acetate each season.
Specifics: Ten new ophthalmic styles, six in titanium and four in acetate.
Selling Points: The new additions to the 4000 series, Contour Titanium, are inspired by topographical tiered farms and natural formations, these styles utilize a method of machining a solid titanium sheet into multiple layers to achieve a layered aesthetic on the face. Color is used to underscore the contoured effect of the material on the 4031 and 4033 where the bridge and temples are plated in a brighter tonal complement to the color of the front. The other styles feature double colorations with the interior and exterior of the frame in contrasting colors. In the 6000 series, Modo Signature Acetates, the brand continued the tradition of forward thinking shapes created in brilliantly colored and textured Italian acetate, this group of four new styles epitomizes the concept of “less is more.” Clean shapes and unique angles combine with crystal acetates for a modern silhouette.
