Pro Fit Optix Introduces “upgrade”

Quick Take:
Pro Fit Optix has introduced “upgrade,” a new premium single vision free-form lens. Single vision patients can experience the “wow” factor of free-form technology with upgrade.
Specifics: upgrade is a custom-made single vision lens design that optimizes vision in every situation, according to Pro Fit. The sophisticated backside aspheric HD technology creates “a super flat and slim lens and offers the best possible optical results in all pixels of the lens.” There will be no compromise with a lens calculated and produced from the Pro Fit Optix’ free-form program, the company said.
Selling Points: The upgrade lens design is based on a three-dimensional x-y-z system. The calculation program divides the backside of the lens into more than 100,000 pixels, which are calculated individually by sending rays through the surface of the lens, optimizing the patient’s view at all angles. The production of lenses combined with Pro Fit Optix’ unique optical optimization technology which calculates the lens according to the patient’s eye movement and chosen frame shape, results in a distortion free lens.
upgrade is available in a wide range of materials with premium AR.
