A&A Adds Quiksilver and Roxy Rx Sun Styles
Quick Take: A&A Optical has debuted two new prescription ready sunglasses collections from global surfing brands, Quiksilver and Roxy.

Specifics: Three new Quiksilver Rx sun styles for men and three Roxy styles for women. The six new styles all feature Carl Zeiss lenses, stylish tints and a scratch resistant coating and are shipped with a case and lens cleaner.
Selling Points: “The development of Quiksilver and Roxy RX Sun is in response to customer demand and A&A’s strategy to diversify the product selection for both popular brands,” said Robert Liener, president and CEO of A&A. For Quiksilver fans, the QS Sun 07 is a sporty frame with retro beginnings highlighted by rubber tipped angled temples. The QS Sun 08 is a sleek metal style with slender acetate temples and a deep rectangle shape; while the QS Sun 09 is a modern, smooth-edged version of a wayfarer. For Roxy girls, the RS Sun 07 features a modified round, cat-like eye shape and dipped temple tips. The vintage styling of the RS Sun 08 has a deep, round shape in color dipped acetate. Lastly, the semi-translucent RS Sun 09 has thick, angle-cut temples and an elongated oval eye shape. Quiksilver and Roxy merchandising materials include logo plaques, counter cards, a 6-piece display and brand posters.

Ogi Presents the Seraphin Japanese Vintage Collection

Selling Points: Seraphin fuses handmade materials, intricate detailing and exquisite craftsmanship to create new standard of luxury eyewear. Key styles in the collection include the Linwood, which features unique titanium etching, Italian acetate and handcrafted Japanese components merge; the Oxford, which includes circular lenses, intricately etched titanium and available in traditional hues of antique gold, bronze, gunmetal and silver; and the Dale, a blend of traditional shape and contemporary color, the Dale combines Japanese titanium with Italian acetate and an intricate coining ridge along the eyewires. Elle by Charmant Releases New Styles for A/W 2012

Selling Points: The new frames in acetate and slender metal-acetate combinations are inspired by this fall's homage to strong, minimalist cuts with sensuous curves courtesy of cinched waists. Fresh color is dictated by red-burgundy tones, must-have purple violet and perennial classic warm camel. All in all, these new Elle optical styles are fashionable and elegantly classic with a dash of glamour.
The acetate EL13339 combines hip bookish chic and graceful femininity with a subtle curving and a twisted temple; while the EL13340 features a slender metal front and twisted temple design in a marbled patterned and soft cat eye. The EL 13344 has a shiny gold or silver front offset by soft acetate temples and a soft oval eye. Lastly, the EL 13345 showcases eye-catching coloring with open temple accents

Marchon Unveils Valentino Venice Limited Edition Styles
To commemorate the Venice Film Festival, Marchon and Valentino hosted an event at Venice’s Hotel Cipriani to launch the brand’s limited-edition ‘Venice’ Eyewear in partnership with W magazine. Valentino’s two creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, together with W’s editor-in-chief, Stefano Tonchi welcomed 200 guests, including socialites, international press and celebrities to introduce the new styles and each guest was given a frame from the new Valentino Eyewear collection by Marchon to celebrate the occasion.
Quartet: the Latest Argyleculture Collection from McGee
The Argyleculture Quartet collection from the McGee Group features frames with bold design elements that complement the success and sophistication of the urban graduate. The Miller is a semi-rimless combination frame with a modified rectangle eyeshape, wide, horn temples and a combination of contrasting acetates and multi-colored metal embellishments. The Newman is a combination frame with a metal front and double laminate horn acetate temples. The traditional large, rectangular front contrasts with the modern bridge, endpiece and temples; while laser details on the endpiece and temple mimics the argyle pattern.
Mikli Bows Starck Eyes Gold-Plated Limited Editions
Alain Mikli and Philippe Starck have presented a new box set composed of four limited-edition, numbered, gold-plated optical styles. Presented in a high-end finish, the box set included two different gold colors, champagne gold and palladium, both 24 carats and 5.2 microns thick, with the palladium styles featuring black acetate temples. Each frame is engraved with a serial number and only 150 of each style in each color are being produced.
