Signature Launches Dakota Smith Sunglass Collection

Wearer: According to the company, Jim Sepanek, designer of the Dakota Smith Los Angeles collection, sought to make high-quality frames with a particular aesthetic that would appeal to a wide range of consumers, targeting those that are young in spirit and original in their thinking.
Specifics: The collection includes eight styles for men in shapes like the club masters, rectangles, square, navigators and aviators, each available in three colors.
Selling Points: Style names include Instinct, Assurance, Resolve, Anthem, Perception, Suspicion, Allegation and Impulse. Characteristic temple décor is a signature design element of the collection. “Eyewear that provides a unique perspective is usually priced at the high end of the market,” said Sepanek. “Dakota Smith Los Angeles provides a democratic solution, meeting this consumer’s demand for frames that are uniquely ‘cool’ while being priced at a level that is accessible for everyone.”

Ogi Expands Innovation Collection for Spring 2011
Quick Take: To allow practitioners the ability to segment the Ogi Eyewear collection into categories best suited for their office, the collection is being presented in three distinct categories: Ogi Heritage, Ogi Evolution and Ogi Innovation. Younger Optics Releases Adage Transitions VI in Gray and Brown Polycarbonate
Quick Take: Younger Optics is releasing Adage short-corridor progressive lenses in Transitions gray and brown. Now patients can get a lens with a very wide, clear distance zone that fits into their preferred smaller frames and experience the benefits of Transitions photochromic technology, all at the same time. Adage is currently available in polycarbonate.

Quick Take: Allison S.p.A has added several new styles to their Try, Try Change and Try Star eyewear collections for Spring.
Specifics: The new Try eyewear collection is made up of eight rimless models with steel temples and eight titanium rimless models. The Try Change collection offers four new rimless frames with changeable temples and the Try Star project has added four new models.

Zimco Optics Has Added Two New Harve Benard Styles
