Six15 Technologies’ new Infinity smart glasses feature a display with a miniaturized LCD-based projection lens system that offers a 17.5 degree field of view.
ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Six15 Technologies, based here, has launched a smart glasses and turnkey software and integration solution. Called the Infinity Platform, it is available to developers and strategic partners now, and will be available worldwide for non-consumer applications in January 2016, according to Six15.

The Infinity’s display uses a miniaturized LCD-based projection lens system with a 17.5 degree field of view. Integratable modules can be added for video, audio, and communication upgrades and multiple variations can be configured to meet changing needs. Impact tested, safety rated and easy to clean lenses make the glass suitable for all environments. Polarized lenses will be available for higher light or outdoor environments, Six15 said.

“The Infinity Platform is a culmination of moving the technology forward to the point where it’s completely customizable to the client and their environments, not built our way and forcing the users to ‘make it fit’. It is elegant, practical, and nearly invisible—which has been our goal the past two years—to build a solution that work seamlessly, is beautiful and empowering. Our Infinity Platform nails that,” said Rich Ryan, CEO at Six15 Technologies.

The company said it worked closely with software interface partners APX Labs and Augmate to create their pilot program.
