CooperVision's new consumer mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices.

The new CooperVision consumer mobile app acquaints users with CooperVision's catalogue of monthly, two-week and daily disposable contact lenses, helps them identify which types of CLs could be best for them and points them in the direction of local optometrist who can  provide them. The app comes at a good time, too—according to CooperVision, a 2013 study found that more than 95 million people are accessing health information on their mobile devices (U.S. mobile health audience jumps to 95 million adults, Manhattan Research, Oct. 2013).

Here's what the app can do:

  • Locate optometrists nearby using your zip code or your device's location services with the "Find a Doctor" feature.
  • Help users "Find a Lens" by taking information such as eye conditions, physical activity, work environment or how much you travel to determine which CLs are suitable.
  • For forgetful contact lens wearers, the "Lens Reminder" can send customized alerts when it's time to replace contact lenses.
  • Educational resources—like information about astigmatism and presbyopia, the proper way to clean and care for contact lenses and even how to put them in your eyes—are available in the "Vision & Health" section of the app.
  • Save and share what you learned so you can discuss options with your eyecare professional with the "Products" tool.

The CooperVision consumer mobile app is available for iOS and Android and can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play or CooperVision.com.
