iGreen Eyewear from Thema Optical

iGreen eyewear from Thema Optical is the result of years of research and experience bringing together a unique blend of style and technology thanks to a new polymer that gives the collection incredible lightness and flexibility. The collection is defined as environmentally friendly as it produces almost no waste during process of production and the company has invested in a “clean” and environmentally safe production process requiring less water and less electrical energy compared to acetate frames. There are four collections to choose from with interchangeable temples offered in 31 different colors.

MSRP is $180 to $245

“I wanted a unique line that was flexible, fashionable and affordable.iGreen’s shapes are classic but fun with the different colors options.”

What are you selling?
After working in the optical field since 2003, I opened my own boutique in July. I had met my iGreen rep at the Connecticut Opticians Association CE event earlier in the year and instantly loved the collection. The 2.2, 2.4 and 3.6 are what I have sold the most of so far.

Who’s buying it?
So far? Everyone! Parents love the flexibility for their kids and adults seem to be most thrilled about the fact that the frames only weigh five grams. Since there are subtle/matte colors, as well as bold/shiny, iGreen is a popular sell to the more conservative male and the spunky businesswoman.

Why do they like it?
Being able to get a frame with built in versatility is huge in such a fashion conscious world. I initially feared that having the option to buy extra temples for a primary pair of eyeglasses would diminish multiple pair sales, but the second patient to choose iGreen purchased four different fronts and every coordinating temple option!

Are you a retailer or an ECP who has a frame or collection you think others should “Check.Out”?
