LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Kenmark, along with Perry Ellis International, Inc., has launched the Original Penguin Youth eyewear collection.

The new segment of the companies’ established Original Penguin by Munsingwear eyewear line includes eight of the top-selling styles sized down to fit boys aged 8 to 14.

“When presented the option, many kids want to emulate the style of their older siblings and parents,” said Jason Wehlage, Kenmark product designer. “I wanted to create styles addressing the lack of grown-up eyewear in today’s youth segment, and as a parent, frames I would seek out for my children to wear.”

Original Penguin Youth eyewear stays true to the brand’s heritage with throwback styling, modern fitting techniques and one-of-a-kind detailing. Its iconic look is spread across the eight styles with offerings in both metal and acetate materials. Sizes range from 45 to 48 to fit boys who are smaller in size but have big style, Kenmark said.

“We are excited to release the Original Penguin Youth collection,” said Mike Cundiff, Kenmark CEO. “The Original Penguin line has been hugely successful for us and we think opticians and customers alike will welcome these popular, smaller styles into their product mix.”
