MASON, Ohio—Leaders representing all facets of the optical field came together near Luxottica’s North American headquarters for a two-day gathering that not only benefited OneSight but also accomplished some business goals. About 550 attendees participated in the sponsored event, which served not only to honor vendors but also to recount each Luxottica business unit’s achievements and launch their many new initiatives…all while raising $400,000 for the OneSight family of charities.

Leaders of Luxottica’s various divisions, such as Seth McLaughlin, executive VP of licensed brands, auctioned off dinner with themselves to raise funds for OneSight.
Not only did Pearle Vision’s new Sr. VP and GM, Srini Kumar, joke that dinner would be at White Castle as in “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,” but he also announced his plans to grow the Pearle franchise.
Among the ways the OneSight family of charities provides healthy vision to those in need is with the vision van, featuring exam lanes, finishing equipment and a dispensary.
