NORTHVALE, N.J.—Avalon Eyewear has launched an all new Made in France eyewear collection for sophisticated women.
The Avalon Couture collection
debuts with four styles in metal and combination styles that blend rich
materials to create modern classics. The result is a collection that
evokes the influence of Japanese culture in French fine arts starting
from the late 19th century.
Premium materials include unique
acetates created with an overlay of copper powder that creates different
colors and textures as it oxidizes and is cured. The effect recreates
the ancient Japanese lacquer technique known as Maki-e, which used
copper, gold or silver powder applied using a brush.
Styles range from full-rim, semi
and demi-rimless and include modified rectangles, butterflies and oval
shapes. Each style comes in three colors each and additional details
include crystal stones, semi-precious metallic décor and a variety of
rich colors.
Merchandise materials include a 6-frame display and single frame logo plaque, as well as counter cards.
