HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—ClearVision Optical has debuted the new Aspire Eyewear collection using the latest innovative technology and materials.

“Eyewear is an expression of the wearer, so we created Aspire to connect with progressive, ‘aspirational’ men and women who show their individuality through fashion and unique accessories; to show what they aspire to be,” said Peter Friedfeld, executive vice president of ClearVision.

Frames are designed using 3D technology prior to prototyping and constructed from a thin and lightweight proprietary “memory plastic” material. According to the company, the frames are almost 50 percent lighter than regular plastic frames and 22 percent lighter than typical titanium frames. At 2.25 mm thick, styles are also almost 50 percent thinner than typical acetate frames. The collection also features a proprietary adjustable nose pad system and screwless hinges.

There are 12 optical styles, six for women and six for men that offer some crossover, which feature five architecturally inspired temple designs in stainless steel and TR-90. Three sun styles—a cat-eye, aviator and navigator shape—are also available. Style names are aspirational adjectives that express consumers’ style, or what they may “aspire to be,” including Special, Stylish and Independent.

Merchandising materials, including a waiting room video, brand IDs, counter cards and display, accompany the collection.
