Bold Face loves summer. Longer days, sunshine, men without their shirts. In this week’s edition we feature some of the yummiest boys of summer in eyewear that only adds to their appeal…

When talking about good looking men you have to include Joe Manganiello. Bold Face is sure it’s a law somewhere. Sadly, our greatest resource for shirtless Manganiello sightings is soon coming to an end. As True Blood rounds out its seventh and final season, the fictional town of Bon Temps is trying to control their overpopulation of vicious vampires. Alcide, played by Manganiello, is a werewolf who is out to protect his friends and fellow neighbors from the undead, generally without a shirt on. Almost as good as him without a shirt is him in a tuxedo and glasses, here he wears the Flexon Jobs 20900 from Marchon…

 

Speaking of vampires, Kellen Lutz’s big break came when he played the vampire Emmett Cullen in the film adaptations of the Twilight series. This summer he makes his debut in a different film franchise, The Expendables. In The Expendables 3, Lutz plays the three day stubble sporting, biker tattoo having, dirty t-shirt and jeans wearing former Navy SEAL John Smilee. One of the youngest Expendables, recruited to help Barney (Sylvester Stallone) track down Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson). Not that his attractiveness is in question but Lutz is currently signed with Ford Models… just saying… He was also recently spotted wearing the Wise Guy shades from Peepers at LAX…

 

The Captive is an upcoming Canadian thriller film directed by Atom Egoyan and co-written with David Fraser. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson and Mireille Enos. It debuted at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and will hit theaters this August. It was also recently announced that Reynolds would reprise his brief role as Deadpool from 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine for a full length feature film scheduled for 2016. It’s no surprise then that the handsome Reynolds was seen enjoying some down time in NYC this past May wearing the Tom Ford FT5178 glasses from Marcolin in May in NYC…

 

James Franco is a busy guy. So busy, in fact, the guy has no less than 15 projects currently in the works so expect to see a lot of him over the next two years (Yay!) The next major release for him is Good People, with Kate Hudson, about a debt-ridden couple that discovers a cache of cash in their dead tenant's apartment and find themselves the target of the deadly thief who stole it. In addition to acting, in 2008, Franco was named as the face of Gucci's men's fragrance line, which may explain why Salon.com named him the Sexiest Man Living in 2009. Now he is the face of the brand’s eyewear collection, so it’s no wonder he was snapped this spring wearing the Gucci GG 1047/N/S sunglasses, part of the Carbon Fiber collection, from Safilo.
