Hollywood used to be a hard place for a lady (rumor has it that it still can be) but some women have managed to carve out a little place for themselves on the small screen and are doing quite well. In this edition of Bold Face we highlight three of them in fabulous eyewear and hope that they continue to blaze a trail for women in entertainment...

Mindy Kaling joined the wildly popular show The Office as a writer at age 24 and was the only woman on a staff of eight. She then took on the role of character Kelly Kapoor on the show. She has since gone on to create and star as Mindy Lahiri in The Mindy Project is a romantic comedy TV series. Hot into its third season, the series follows Dr. Lahiri, a skilled OB/GYN trying (and failing!) to navigate her romantic life with dignity and grace. The Mindy Project airs on FOX Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30c. No wonder, the Emmy Award-nominated writer/producer and New York Times best-selling author is all smiles here wearing the Valentino V118S from Marchon ...

Eva Longoria's roots are in TV acting. She got her start on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2001 to 2003 and in 2004 she signed on as Gabrielle Solis on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives, but Longoria is also a producer. In fact, she is one of the producers of the Lifetime comedy-drama series Devious Maids about five Latina maids working in the homes of Beverly Hills' wealthiest and most powerful families, season three will premier in Spring 2015. Longoria herself is now one of those wealthy and powerful folks and was snapped in Marbella, Spain looking stylish in the Balenciaga BA11 sunglasses from Marcolin...

Zendaya got her television start, like so many young, talented kids do, on the Disney channel. She starred as Rocky Blue on Shake It Up from 2010 to 2013 and is currently filming her second Disney show set to air in 2015 called K.C. Undercover. All by the ripe old age of 18. In the new show, she'll star as K.C. Cooper, an outspoken and confident technology wiz and skilled black belt who discovers that both her parents are spies and expect her to follow in their footsteps. Each episode centers on the family as they contend with everyday familial issues—while also performing missions to save the country. Sounds fun, and it looks like Zendaya is having some fun, recently snapped wearing the Converse B006 sunglasses from REM Eyewear.
