No man is an island. In this case, no actor is. Without a supporting cast of characters a TV series' lead wouldn't be very interesting to watch. Of course, sometimes the supporting characters become even more interesting than the protagonist. In this week's Bold Face we feature three such actors who always seem to grab the spotlight...

British actor Stephen Moyer landed his break out role in HBO's hit series True Blood when it premiered in 2008. True Blood is a drama series based on "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" novels by Charlaine Harris, that center on the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse (played by Moyers real life wife, Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress in the fictional, small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana. Playing Bill Compton, a 173-year old vampire, Moyer struggles between trying to be a good person like he was before he changed, and giving in to his new vampire urges. We all know Lea Michele best thanks to her role as Rachel Berry on Glee, but now that Glee is over we will still be able to see her on television. Michele will appear in a guest role as a truck stop waitress and single mother named Gertie on the FX series Sons of Anarchy. Sons of Anarchy is a drama series about the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California's Central Valley. She was snapped on set in the Ray-Ban 2140 Wayfarer from Luxottica while filming in July but don't expect to see her in the series until her episode hits in October. Sons of Anarchy returns to FX on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10pm...

Actress Bellamy Young has been acting for 20 years but she has finally become a family name thanks to her role as First Lady Melody "Mellie" Grant in the ABC drama series Scandal. Scandal is a political thriller TV series created by Shonda Rhimes and starring Kerry Washington. It follows Washington's character, Olivia Pope, who runs a Washington, D.C.-based crisis management firm, Olivia Pope & Associates, as well as staff at the White House, and of course Pope's ongoing affair with the president of the United States. In June, Young attended the 54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monte-Carlo, Monaco and was snapped wearing the wearing Roberto Cavalli RC797 sunglasses from Marcolin. Scandal returns to ABC on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9pm.
