Bold Face explores the cult of celebrity and the styles, trends and brands that stars show off in movies, at events and living their daily lives. To be considered for inclusion please contact senior editor, Deirdre Carroll.

Many famous folks can claim more than one talent. In this edition of Bold Face we feature three handsome fellas who have proven they are multifaceted thanks to their singer/actor status…

Ewan McGregor stars as Bill Fordham, husband to Julia Robert’s character, Barbara Weston, and son-in-law to Meryl Streep’s Violet Weston, in August: Osage County. The film opened to critical acclaim and has received several accolades. McGregor has found much success in both mainstream and indie films and has earned numerous nominations for the Golden Globes, SAGs and Emmys. In addition to his acting work, he has sung in a number of his films and appears on their soundtracks including 1998’s Velvet Goldmine, 2003’s Down with Love and most notably, 2001’s Moulin Rouge!, as the young poet Christian, who falls in love with the terminally-ill courtesan Satine, played by Nicole Kidman. However, there is nothing terminal about the way McGregor looks his Flexon Jones ophthalmic frames from Marchon

Safilo USA and Solstice Sunglasses participated in the official Grammy Gift Lounge for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards held from January 23-25, 2014 in L.A. Not only were Safilo's Banana Republic sunglasses included in the official gift bags, but the team also fit several notable celebrities. Here American country music singer and actor, Kris Kristofferson, who performed on stage during the ceremony with Blake Shelton and old friends Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, wears the Hugo Boss 543/S sunglasses. He is known for musical hits like Me and Bobby McGee, For the Good Times, Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down and Help Me Make It Through the Night. In addition to his musical accomplishments, he is also a prolific actor, appearing in 1976’s A Star Is Born (with Barbra Streisand), for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. In 2011, Kristofferson co-starred with our last Bold Face singer/actor, Harry Connick, Jr. in Dolphin Tale and the 2014’s sequel, Dolphin Tale 2.

Harry Connick, Jr. is a singer, musician and actor. He has sold over 28 million albums worldwide and has seven Top-20 U.S. albums and 10 Number-One U.S. jazz albums, earning more Number-One albums than any other artist in the U.S. jazz chart history. He began his acting career in the World War II film, Memphis Belle, in 1990, and went on to appear in 1995’s Copycat, the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day, 1998's Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock, and, of course, the aforementioned family films, Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2. He has won three Grammy awards and two Emmy Awards… and yet when he became a full-time judge on season 13 of FOX’s American Idol many contestant hopefuls didn’t know who he was. Based upon his growing popularity on the show, Bold Face can only imagine that travesty is changing. After wearing the same style on the show, the handsome (and funny!) crooner was snapped wearing the Sama Eyewear Club-S ophthalmic glasses while arriving at LAX on Jan. 28th.
