America's favorite pastime is watching movies… kidding… actually, its watching movies about baseball. Alright, alright, but watching movies is a close second! So, in honor of the World Series, Bold Face combines the two and features three celebs that have appeared in baseball movies…

Susan Sarandon famously played Annie Savoy in 1988’s Bull Durham, a minor-league baseball team groupie involved in a love triangle; which after films like The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Hunger firmly cemented her as a bonafied sex symbol. She has since gone on to have a long and successful career in Hollywood, winning accolades for films like Thelma & Louise and Dead Man Walking, for which she won an Oscar. Though ping-pong is more Ms. Sarandon’s speed these days, she still retains a great deal of the sex appeal, confidence and humor that helped make her famous. She will soon grace the big screen again alongside Jason Segel and Jeff Helms in the comedy, Jeff Who Lives at Home. It has been little awhile since we had a big screen release about baseball. Well the much anticipated film, Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, the beleaguered Oakland A’s general manager, has changed all that. Based up on the 2003 book of the same name, the film opened at the end of September to critical acclaim and even a few Academy Award grumblings. The movie also marks the first time that Brad Pitt and Sama Eyewear have partnered onscreen, despite a long personal relationship. In the film Pitt’s character, Beane wears a custom pair of Sama’s Louis aviators in platinum with vintage green lens, which are now available at the brand’s Destination: Sama boutiques…

 


Jonah Hill is Pitt’s partner in crime in MoneyBall. Playing, Peter Brand, a young Yale economics graduate with radical ideas about how to assess players' value using statistics. Hill’s character is hired on by Beane to become the A’s assistant general manager and prove his theories. Still in theaters, the sports drama sees Hill wearing the IZOD PerformX63 optical frame from ClearVision for his role throughout the film.
