The Seventh Annual Prevent Blindness Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament was held here on Sept. 17 at Vision Expo West. The annual event brought together leaders in the vision industry to raise necessary funds to support the sight-saving programs of Prevent Blindness, the nation's oldest volunteer eye health non-profit organization.

The Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund was once again the event's gold sponsor. Additional sponsors included Essilor USA, Zyloware, Vision Expo, Hilco, Solution Reach, Luxottica Wholesale, Gilberts Displays, Marchon, 1-800Contacts, Spectera, National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP), Refac , REM Eyewear and Vision Ease.

Vision Expo West attendees voted Amphibia Sports LLC first place as the show's "Vision Choice" best new product.

Second place "Vision Choice" best new product was awarded to Hoya's Avantek Eyewear. Third place "Vision Choice" was awarded to Specs of Wood .

The New Product Showcase Gallery at International Vision Expo West enabled visitors to check out the optical industry's latest product and technology offerings. On site at the Sands Convention Center, show attendees viewed entries throughout the show and all those who voted were automatically entered to win a $500 exhibit hall shopping spree. The winners of the $500 prize were Tamara Sheppard, Joe Richardson and Christy Williams.
