Members of The Vision Council's Optical Lab Division celebrated the contributions of 10 industry veterans at the Director's Choice and Fifteenth Annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet, held Sept. 15 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
Ed Greene, CEO of The Vision Council received the 2014 Director's Choice Award, and the following individuals were inducted in the Optical Pioneer Hall of Fame: Mike Brown, Practical Systems, Inc.; Larry Clarke, Satisloh North America, Inc.; Mike Dougher, Hoya Vision Care, North America; John Fried, A&R Optical Machines, Inc.; Frank Giammanco, First Vision Media Group, Inc.; Matt Iovaldi,Midland Optical Lab; Virginia "Susie" Lesher, Brondstater Optical America; Jerry Mansuy, Vision Craft, and Jim Roussel, JL Roussel & Co.

Labapalooza Pays Tribute to Wholesale Labs »
Labapalooza, a lab industry favorite gathering, took place here Thursday night in the Venetian Hotel. As in years past, the annual get together paid tribute to wholesale laboratories and highlights included Vision Monday's signature Top Labs Report and LabTalk's Website of the Year Awards. For the second year in a row, the party took place at the Rockhouse Las Vegas, featuring a Country & Western theme.
