VANCOUVER, B.C.—Luxottica Wholesale North America held its annual sales convention last month, this time with Vancouver, Canada as the backdrop.

With the theme of “transformation,” 500 people were in attendance for a four-day immersive experience. The leadership team, led by N.A. Wholesale president Holly Rush, celebrated the division’s record performance in 2014 and spoke about the necessary transformation of the industry, embracing and leading change, and working through the obstacles that come with it.

With presentations by Kris Koenig, writer and producer of the documentary film “Sight: The Story of Vision,” and OneSight’s Jason Singh, the conference highlighted Luxottica’s efforts to raise awareness for vision care. Other guest speakers included Brent Taylor, managing director of the retail marketing firm Barrows, and Dana Telsey, CEO of the Telsey Advisory Group, and comedian James P. Connelly who served as the conference emcee. A surprise employee frame sale raised over $60,000 in just two hours for The OneSight Foundation.
