NEW YORK—International Vision Expo, working in tandem with the Conference Advisory Board, is always enhancing the unique and comprehensive education program, and adding new tracks that tackle trending industry topics. More than 330 hours of education are offered for every role and experience level, from the new hire, to a member of the office staff, to a technician or new graduate optometrist, to the seasoned veteran. All courses are focused on three core competencies—disease diagnosis and treatment; clinical application of products; and healthy business solutions.

For 2015, International Vision Expo has broadened the curriculum to deliver education in more interesting and creative ways including 21 hours of crowd sourced learning courses where attendees can utilize new technologies to suggest speaker topics, answer polling questions, all the while keeping the conversation on today’s trends.

The Business Solutions curriculum has been expanded to include more than 100 hours of education on a broad range of topics including the popular Visionomics Program, Frame Buyers Program, a Retail Track and the Wearable Technology Track.

Also debuting this year are Power 10 courses which combine the latest in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease with the last 10 minutes of each course dedicated to how to bill and code correctly so attendees can maximize the earning potential on the care they provide their patients.

Additional new education highlights for 2015 include:

In collaboration with the Accessories Council, the Retail track will provide a fresh perspective on growing a brand and insights into how the broadening scope of brands, materials and technologies shape the eyecare industry.
