Christen Jankowski, OD

Christen has been working in the optical industry since 1984. He got his start when “It was snowing at the Army Firing Range in Grafenwohr, Germany back in 1973. Only two of four 175mm M-107 self-propelled artillery pieces would start. Snow was standing at 16 inches. It was cold, and I decided it was time to consider another career choice. In 1979, I decided to make good on ‘Plan B.’”

Owns 11 pairs of glasses.

Cynthia Mercer
Optician

Cynthia has worked as an optican for 15 years. She started out as a child helping people pick out frames at her mother’s optical store when her daycare was closed.

Owns 30 pairs, most of which are for collection, but has her current Rx in three sunglasses and five opthalmics.

Christa started out working in her father’s small optical practice and has been in the industry for six months. She left the social services field and was looking for another way to help people.

She owns four pairs of designer sunglasses and three pairs of opthalmics. Even though she just had Lasik, she plans to have her frames converted for computer and fashion wear.

Erika has been working in the optical industry for four and a half years. She came into optical with a business administrative background and started as an administrative assistant.

She owns three pairs of opthalmics and two pairs of sunglasses.
