NEW YORK—From the legacy award to the breakthrough award, The Accessories Council hosted the 22nd Annual ACE Awards held here last month at Cipriani 42nd street, which honored the individuals and companies both old and new who have furthered the awareness of the use of accessories.

In a floral-filled room set with soft blue atmosphere lighting, the ACE Awards were presented to designers, brands, influencers, retailers and celebrities who have helped to promote the importance and use of accessories. Among the honorees that night, Longchamp received the legacy award accepted by Jean Cassegrain, CEO, of the company. In 2017, Longchamp launched its eyewear collection with Marchon Eyewear Inc.

Additionally, Rachel Shechtman, founder of STORY was awarded with the specialty retailer award presented to her by the iconic Iris Apfel.

The ACE Awards were created in 1997 to pay homage to those that have made great strides in raising the awareness of the accessories industry. Over the past 22 years, the Accessories Council has honored and recognized global brands and pioneers, positioning them in the forefront of the fashion industry.
