NEW YORK—Friends, family and colleagues from throughout his career turned out for a celebratory event to honor Ed Jankowski, vice president, general manager, for Luxotttica Luxury Retail Group, which includes the Ilori, optical Shops of Aspen and Persol brands. Jankowski was the recipient of the Accessories Council Hall of Fame Honoree Award and the event took place at LIM College, just following the first Accessories Council Summit (See story page 14).

The event also raised money for the Luxottica Group OneSight Foundation.

Jankowski, a board member and past treasurer for the Council, is also a past advisory board member of LIM College. Jankowski began his career in the R.H. Macy’s executive training program and moved on to roles in the fashion field including stints as president of the Airport Shops division of World Duty Free Americas.

He later joined Safilo Group where he was COO of Solstice Stores, overseeing that group’s expansion. He then joined Godiva Chocolatier, Inc, as president and general manager where he was a member of the global leadership executive team.

Jankowski is now overseeing a rebranding of Luxottica’s Luxury business under the Ilori name and the rollout of a new Ilori prototype.
