Antonio Bortuzzo
PARIS —Alain Mikli International has announced that Antonio Bortuzzo has been named chief executive officer for international operations replacing Dominique Alba.

Bortuzzo will manage the group for growth and market leadership capitalizing on the company’s philosophy and its strong brand identity. According to a statement from the company, he is committed to the four Mikli core development strategies; those strategies include products, retail, distribution and customer service.

Bortuzzo joins the group after five years as CEO of the Marcolin Group and three years with Allison Eyewear. According to Alain Mikli International, NEO Capital, the U.K.-based finance firm which owns a 47 percent stake in the company, endorsed the selection of Bortuzzo to accelerate the international growth and development of the Alain Mikli group. According to a statement from the company, with his leadership they anticipate “triple growth in the next four years.”

During his two-year tenure, former CEO Dominique Alba was responsible for creating the financial structure and strategic plan fueling the company’s growth and expansion in key markets. He negotiated the addition of the Vuarnet brand to the Mikli corporate group. Alba will continue his involvement with the group as shareholder and director.
