NEW YORK—In a video interview with VSP Global’s Jim McGrann earlier this week on Tues., May 19, 2015, The Wall Street Journal focused on the company’s new health-tracking eyeglasses for the “exploding market in the wearables space.”

Describing the latest technology to come out of VSP Global’s technology incubator, The Shop, McGrann said, “It’s something you wear every day that you don’t even think about putting on, and it helps track your health and keep you well as you move throughout your life. We have 75 million members in our insurance program, so we’re focused on their overall health and wellness, and we hope they’ll be willing to adopt this.”

Watch The Wall Street Journal interview to learn how VSP will “move from B to C and B to B and get to B to I, business to individual” and how the company plans to build this technology “into all the collections that we have,” according to McGrann, who is currently the president of VSP Vision Care and will succeed Rob Lynch as CEO of parent company VSP Global, effective Oct. 1, 2015, as reported by VMail.
