PARIS—World Sight Day 2013 has taken many forms, and in one case, that form was 100 Essilor Group employees in a choreographed dance in public Paris square. On Thursday, October 10, under the banner of the Essilor Vision Foundation and the direction of Marianne Schmitt, choreographer, members of the French ophthalmic lens and optical equipment company engaged in a gracefully executed flashmob to show Paris—and the world—that blindness and vision impairment are worthy of the center of attention—on World Sight Day, and every day.
