PINELLAS PARK, Fla.— Transitions Optical has named the finalists for its annual Transitions Awards program, which recognizes optical labs, optical retailers and independent eyecare professionals for their year-long commitment to promoting eye health and photochromic lenses. The finalists will be honored during Transitions Academy, held Jan. 26 to 29 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando.

“Every year, we are faced with a tough decision of selecting just three finalists for each category,” said Brian Hauser, general manager, North America, Transitions Optical. “All of this year’s finalists have proven to be true role models in promoting eye health within their businesses and local communities. We are proud to call them partners and congratulate them on their year-long achievements.”

The three finalists for the 23rd annual U.S. Lab of the Year award are Diversified Ophthalmics, Optical Prescription Lab and Three Rivers Optical. Finalists for the fourth annual National Retailer of the Year award are Costco Optical, LensCrafters and Visionworks; and finalists for the Regional Retailer of the Year award include Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center, Henry Ford OptimEyes and Northeastern Eye Institute. Finalists for the third annual Eyecare Practice of the Year award are Arizona Family Vision Center, Buena Vista Optical and Clarus Optical.

Recognizing the important role that vision benefits brokers and HR professionals play in delivering eye health education, Transitions Optical also annually recognizes a Vision Benefits Broker of the Year and an HR Visionary of the Year. These finalists will be announced in December and will also be honored during Transitions Academy in January.
