Latest News The Optometric Society Releases ‘Eye Before See’ Brochure to Promote Comprehensive Eye Exams By Staff Monday, March 30, 2015 12:21 AM Bryan Wolynski. LA JOLLA, Calif.—The Optometric Society has released the “Eye Before See” brochure to help promote the organization’s public awareness campaign emphasizing the importance of having a comprehensive eye exam instead of just a refraction. The brochure was created to educate the public that just because someone has 20/20 vision it doesn’t mean that they have healthy eyes.“The Optometric Society has launched this campaign with a brochure that can be used by optometrists for patient education or as a handout at local speaking engagements within the community,” the organization’s president, Bryan Wolynski, told VMail. “The brochure and concept will be posted on TOS’s website soon, and other ideas will enhance this initiative in the future.” Copies of the brochure are available for purchase from The Optometric Society upon request, and the organization suggests that they can be distributed in optometric offices or when speaking in local communities, at public service organizations, or in schools.
