NEW YORK – A new live event is in the works from Vision Monday, a conference which will examine how “Technology Reinvents the Retail Experience,” featuring an exclusive program of speakers, leading execs from outside and within the optical industry. This first VM dba LIVE event will be a two-hour session held on Oct. 2, 2013, just prior to the start of International Vision Expo West (Oct. 3-5) in Las Vegas, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“Innovation in the retail setting is being defined by new technologies, which interact with consumers in new ways and add drama to what’s traditionally been defined as the ‘retail’ or ‘patient’ experience,” explained Marge Axelrad, SVP/editorial director of VM. “This event will target the key decision makers in our business by looking at which new technologies are engaging consumers and patients to reinvent their experience in brick and mortar stores. Leading innovators will share their own new concepts and tactics.”
