NEW YORK—Designer Jonathan Adler and REM Eyewear have announced a licensing agreement to produce women’s eyewear, which will launch in March 2015 at optical and department stores. The eyewear collection will include sunglasses, readers and optical frames distributed globally.  
 
This is the latest addition to Adler’s assortment of fashion accessories, which includes handbags, scarves, wallets, men’s neckwear, and socks for men, women and children. “I’m obsessed with eyewear. It fits my world perfectly,” said Adler. “Eyewear is glamour. Eyewear is style. Glasses can make or break a guy or girl, so I’m excited to be playing in this world.”
 
The upcoming collection will take design details from furniture design, such as campaign hardware, and apply them to eyewear. Circular temple tips are branded “JA,” and custom acetate has been developed for the brand.
