LYNDHURST, Ohio— Pearle Vision held a ribbon-cutting ceremony here yesterday to unveil its new prototype store design. A division of Luxottica Retail (NYSE: LUX), Pearle Vision opened its completely redesigned neighborhood eyecare center about 250 miles from its headquarters in Mason, Ohio. It features a completely transformed floor plan with modernized displays and signage with a new brand logo.

The new Pearle Vision store design will serve as the model for the national optical chain’s future new and

remodeledeyecare centers throughout the country. The new floor plan brings the doctor forward and eliminates walls between the retail section and doctor’s offices. Current licensees will have the opportunity to incorporate all or some of the new design elements into their existing centers.

Earlier this year, Pearle Vision unveiled at its annual licensee conference the new brand image with an updated logo and re-designed color palette for its centers, as reported by VMail April 19, 2013.

Pearle Vision is now seeking to grow its national footprint and has identified development opportunities in markets across the country. To fuel its growth, the company is looking for optometrists interested in licensing opportunities  as it continues adding new locations while also converting company-owned stores into licensed practices, as reported by VMail Jan. 21, 2013  and July 10, 2013.
