TORONTO—EyeCarePro and Alan Glazier, OD, organizers of the Seeing is Believing and CEing is Believing Virtual Conference Series, have issued a call for papers and presentations for their upcoming Seeing is Believing conference to be held on Jan. 29 and 30, 2014. The conference focus will be on helping practices navigate the change being brought about by the Affordable Care Act and the impacts it is having on practices. This year’s program will also feature 10 COPE accredited CE courses and an improved virtual platform, the announcement said.

“We have now established that there is a clear and strong need for virtual conferencing in optometry,” reported Daniel Rostenne, CEO of EyeCarePro and one of the founders of the virtual conference series. “Attracting over 1,400 participants to both our January and July conference from around the U.S. and internationally, too, is a strong indication of the need for the cost savings, convenience and high quality content that virtual conferencing can bring.” The January Seeing is Believing (SiB) conference is focused on practice improvement while the July CEing is Believing is focused on clinical COPE CE, he noted.

“We are seeking the best speakers in our industry who wish to get involved in this growing move to the highest quality online education,” stated Alan Glazier, OD, FAAO, co-founder of the virtual conference series. “Our speakers get to provide their educational presentations from the comfort of their home or office with no travel. We will also assist a speaker with getting their course COPE accredited so that they have an enduring asset for the industry.”

Those interested to submit a presentation outline for consideration, can complete the Call For Courses online form or e-mail Amelia Yzaguirre, Conference Coordinator, at sib@eyecarepro.net. Conference Pre-Registration for SiB begins Sept. 16.
