NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.— NVision Laser Eye Centers has acquired Portland, Ore.-based Teplick Custom Vision, its sixth acquisition in the last 18 months and its first in Oregon. “Teplick Custom Vision will be a great addition to the NVision family, now totaling 18 centers,” said NVision CEO Todd Cooper. “We will be announcing multiple acquisitions in the next few years, as we continue to search for growth opportunities.”

James Pereyra, NVision’s vice president of business development, said, “Teplick Custom Vision is a perfect fit for NVision as we expand into the Pacific Northwest. We are focused on providing an exceptional patient experience, superior visual outcomes, and building a strong relationship with the local optometric community.”

Dr. Stanley Teplick, ophthalmologist and founder of Teplick Custom Vision, said, “Joining the NVision Laser Eye Centers’ family will provide us the opportunity to partner with a top-notch company and the most experienced surgeons nationwide. It is the perfect fit for us and a natural evolution in our 20-year commitment to quality vision outcomes, working with optometric physicians throughout the Pacific Northwest.” Dr. Teplick has performed over 45,000 laser vision surgeries, participated in the FDA studies leading up to the approval of the excimer laser in 1995, and performed the first FDA-approved excimer laser vision corrections in the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to Teplick, NVision acquired two Nevada Eye Care locations in February 2014 and three locations in the Sacramento, Calif., area—Capital Eye Medical Group in Carmichael, Calif., in November 2013, and Meister Eye & Laser Eye Center and Eye Surgery of Northern California, both in Sacramento, in January 2013.
