NEW YORK – Millennials expert and author Jeff Fromm has joined the upcoming program, “Digitizing The Store,” a special VM VM LIVE two-hour program, examining how new technologies are transforming the patient experience and doctor/retailer/patient dynamics.

“Millennials are driving a revolution in consumer expectations about brands, buying and modern retail environments,” said Marge Axelrad, SVP/Editorial Director, Vision Monday. “Jeff Fromm, president of FUTURECAST, a noted author and research specialist on Millennials, will share unique research and fresh perspectives about Millennials’ views towards technology, the retail experience, omni-channel, the ‘social economy’ and more.” Fromm provided top-level insights about Millennial trends at VM’s recent 2014 Global Leadership Summit.

The VM LIVE event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17 just prior to the start of Vision Expo West. Seating is limited but registration is still open for the event, which will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a one-hour cocktail reception at The Venetian Hotel.

Previously-announced industry leaders will be discussing some of the technology tools they use and share their views about how technology is modernizing the eyewear retail environment. Among those are: Richard Edlow, OD, president, Katzen Eye Group; Eric Anderson, president and general manager, LensCrafters; and Jonathan Rosin, MD, co-owner, Rosin Eyecare.

“All retailers and ECPs are asking: does my operation’s brand experience meet the expectations of today’s omni-channel shoppers and discriminating patients?,” said Axelrad. “ VM LIVE will illustrate some current approaches being used and update executive decision makers about this important change.”

Premier sponsors for “Digitizing The Store” include ABS-SmartMirror and Adlens.
