MIAMI—iCare Health Solutions has announced the appointment of Larry Clark as the company’s new CEO. Clark assumed the responsibilities last month and will continue to report to Dr. Sidney J. Stern, OD, president and chairman.

For the past three years, Clark has served as iCare’s chief business development officer, where he helped iCare achieve significant growth during that time, the announcement noted. Clark’s past experience includes serving in various leadership roles with Ford Motor Company, PharMerica and Humana, Inc.

iCare Health Solutions is a managed care organization, based here, which specializes in delivering cost-effective optometric and ophthalmic solutions to health plans, providers and consumers.

iCare Health Solutions began in 1985 and contracts with 26 health plans and manages three million lives within the state of Florida. Over the past 31 years, the company’s objectives, technology platforms and eyecare delivery model have evolved to meet the challenges of the ever changing health care landscape.

iCare Health Solutions is now developing market-specific, coordinated care networks of primary care optometrists and ophthalmologists outside the state of Florida, with the focus on addressing the primary objectives of the Affordable Care Act.
