CALGARY, ALBERTA, Canada— FYidoctors announced the appointment of Aldo Romano as the group’s new vice president of supply chain. In his new role, Romano, who was the former head of commercial research and development at Specsavers, will oversee laboratory, distribution and the overall supply chain and also serve as a senior member of the FYidoctors executive team, the company said.

Dr. Alan Ulsifer, president and CEO of FYidoctors, noted, “Aldo is one of the brightest minds in our industry and it will be a huge benefit to have him on our team. I have known him now for about six years and in that time, have continued to be more and more impressed with not only his depth of experience, but insights into the future of the industry. He is a great addition to FYidoctors.”

Romano stated, “I believe that in their very short history, FYidoctors has brought a superior understanding of the job to be done for the Canadian consumer offering: the right blend of clinical and retail value. I am positive the business is investing in the right capabilities and taking the right steps to become the player of reference for all eyecare needs across Canada. ‘Execution eats strategy for breakfast’ and the leadership of this business knows what needs to be done to meet its mission.

“I am excited and motivated about the opportunity to join FYidoctors and look forward to helping build an organization that becomes an indisputable market leader in Canada and admired by international players for its innovation, leadership and world class operation,” Romano said.

FYidoctors is currently one of Canada’s largest providers of ophthalmic products and services with over 450 optometrists servicing over 280 locations between its corporately owned locations and Vision Source Canada locations. FYidoctors also has Canadian distribution rights to multiple optical and vision products.
