GROVE CITY, Ohio—Latham & Phillips Ophthalmic (LPO), a subsidiary of Visionix based here, announced that David Avila has been appointed president and general manager. He joins the LPO team with over 23 years of experience in the ophthalmic industry, having spent the last 14 years with Alcon-Novartis, where he held multiple roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of sales, marketing and operations. In his last role with Alcon, Avila was the global franchise head for Alcon’s refractive equipment portfolio.
