Cohen’s Fashion Optical Names Haile Chief Marketing Officer

GARDEN CITY, N.Y.— Cohen’s Fashion Optical has announced that Sheila Haile has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Haile brings over 15 years of combined agency and corporate experience to Cohen’s, including six years in the optical industry, recently as marketing director at ClearVision Optical.

At Cohen’s, Haile will drive overall brand strategy and marketing initiatives for the company and its 130 franchise locations, while overseeing all external agency relationships. Her role will focus heavily on digital, e-commerce, social media and public relations, as well as traditional media and visual merchandising for all stores.

Started over 85 years ago, Cohen’s Fashion Optical was ranked 8th in the country in sales for 2013, according to Vision Monday’s Top 50 U.S. Optical Retailers report. For 2014-15, Cohen’s is focused on a strategic growth plan including an outreach for new doors. Digital marketing and social media is seen as a key factor in the company’s overall growth plan, the company said.
