SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn.—Coburn Ikuvu Ltd., a new joint venture between Coburn Technologies Inc. and Ikuvu Optical Equipment Co. Ltd., is opening an office in Danyang, China. This new office will store spare parts and aftermarket consumable items for local customers, and be a central hub for the company’s service in China.

“We are excited about this expansion of the team, and feel that this new location will greatly enhance the overall customer experience in the region,” said Alex Incera, CEO of Coburn Ikuvu and Coburn Technologies.

The Coburn‐Ikuvu office and team will be headed by Richard Zhang, the company’s new vice president. As part of his new role, Zhang will take the lead in establishing a customer service and support structure for customers in greater China.

Zhang started his career with the Chinese Air Force and has managed several multinational projects in China. Prior to joining Coburn he worked as senior supervisor in the price bureau of the Jiangsu tax department.

Ikuvu Optical Equipment Co. is a subsidiary of Sun Group, based in Hong Kong. Coburn Ikuvu Ltd. supplies a complete line of optical lens processing equipment, consumables, spare parts and service to the market in China.
