SAN DIEGO—Carl Zeiss Vision Inc. announced today that Jens Boy will become its new president and head of the North American organization of the Zeiss Vision Care business group, effective August 1. He will take over from Ulrich Krauss, the chief sales officer for Carl Zeiss Vision and head of the Zeiss Vision Care business group in North America since 2013, who will relocate to Germany.

Additionally, Greg DiPasquale was recently named senior vice president, independent ECP at Carl Zeiss Vision North America, with Steve Mitrakos taking on the role of senior vice president, retail.

his career in 1994 at Drager Medical. He assumed various domestic and international roles in marketing, product management and business development. From 2004 on he served at Teleflex Medical as vice president of global marketing and was appointed vice president and general manager of its surgical division in 2006. He led Teleflex's cardiac care division from 2007 to 2008 and joined Zimmer Dental as vice president of global sales in the same year. Boy will have his office at Carl Zeiss Vision’s headquarters in San Diego, Calif.

DiPasquale has 25 years of experience in sales management, business development and general management roles. From November 2008 to December 2013 he served as general manager, vice president of key accounts for the Essilor Laboratories of America lab network. From 2012 to 2013 he was president and equity owner in two labs, Opti-Matrix in Alabama and Future Optical in Jackson, Tenn. Most recently, he has been an executive-in-residence faculty member at Ohio University, teaching sales, sales management techniques and studying sales performance improvement techniques.
