BALTIMORE, Md.—Managed vision care and dental benefits provider, Avesis, has named Daniel B. Levy, OD, CPHM, as its chief optometric officer. He will implement new eye health and wellness programs for Avesis and oversee provider relations, network management and quality assurance.

Levy has worked in health care management for approximately 10 years and has nearly 20 years of managed vision care experience. Prior to joining Avesis, he was director of professional services for Davis Vision and was instrumental in implementing clinical standards and quality improvement strategies. Levy graduated from Arizona State University, with a BS in Biology and Chemistry and earned his doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry.
