PADUA, Italy— Allison SpA has partnered with musician Will.i.am and designer George Gorrow on a collection of eyewear called ill.i.
 
"I see a gap in the world of eyewear and this is my installment of what I feel is missing,” said Will.i.am. “I want this to be an honest brand - it's about dedication and passion."
 
Launching this month, the ill.i collection will include sunglasses and optical styles for men and women with designs drawing inspiration from the fashion-forward choices of 1980s hip hop pioneers; the oversized eyewear worn by graffiti characters of the decade; rare vintage eyewear shapes; as well as memorable moments from Will.i.am’s early career. Progressive design elements throughout the collection also nod to the future thinking and innovative initiatives that shape the will.i.am world.

The launch will be accompanied by a digitally led global campaign, featuring a dedicated soundtrack created by Will.i.am, frontman for pop group, The Black Eyed Peas. Will.i.am is renowned for his contributions in the world of style and innovation, including tech and product launches and philanthropic activities for STEAM education as well as the recently announced initiative EKOCYCLE.
