OXFORD, England—Adlens announced that AdlensFocuss, its first adjustable prescription eyewear, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie Award in the “Best New Product or Service of the Year” in the consumer products category in The 12th Annual International Business Awards competition.

“We are honored to be recognized with a Gold Stevie Award and it validates Adlens belief that Variable Power Optics has the ability to revolutionize the optical market—and the way people see—forever,” said Rob Stevens, PhD, chief technology officer at Adlens.

“This award is also a testament to the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm that everyone contributes at Adlens. We see endless possibilities for variable focus technology and are proud to be evolving the eyewear industry.”

The Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide. Nicknamed for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at an awards banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Canada on Oct. 23.
