Nouveau Eyewear is currently seeking a sales professional for our Los Angeles  based territory.   The territory includes:  Los Angeles, Thousand Oaks, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Paso Robles, Visalia, Bakersfield, Lancaster, Victorville, San Bernardino, Ontario, Barstow, Twentynine Palms and Cathedral City.

We are seeking an outside sales professional to represent our national brands of eyewear. Our eyewear lines include Kay Unger, Phoebe Couture, Nickelodeon, Christie Brinkley, Real Tree, Wrangler, Van Heusen, as well as private labels.

Position Summary

Required to meet sales expectations. Maintain a steady, frequent in-person contact with all assigned accounts. Expected to capture new business through cold calling/networking/trade shows.

 Essential Job Functions

Meet assigned individual sales goals

Maintain a specific, predictable call cycle providing for all accounts in assigned territory

Weekly communication of sales progress

Respond to all phone calls and account informational requests within 24 hour time period

Maintain company “Matrix” (defined as the primary product offering) and sample bags according to company standards


Other Responsibilities

Collect competitors information

Keep up on all product information

Know the features and benefits of all new product

Endeavor to learn all training information related to sales/administrative processes

Learn new company processes/methods as they are introduced

Participate in training programs as necessary

Meet company minimums for performance, which are, 15 written stock orders or a minimum of 150 net units per week. Maintain returns below 25%. Open an average of 2 new accounts per month.

Notification when unavailable to work in territory


Outside sales experience and territory management experience is preferred, and a home office set up is a must. You must also have reliable transportation, and be willing and able to travel the required territory.

You will be selling our brands of eyewear to optical shops, optometrists, and ophthalmologists in the designated area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Sales experience within territory

Optical Experience (not required, but preferred)

Self Motivated 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
