NEW YORK—Almost all (95 percent) of the 19,934 patients surveyed who had recent experiences with a managed vision care plan consider them to be “somewhat” or “very” important, according to the “
2014 Managed Vision Care Patient Experience Study” produced jointly by
Jobson Optical Research and
focalCenter.
However, the aggregate for all plans referenced in the survey received a negative Net Advocacy Score of -25 percent from the patients surveyed. More than half (52 percent) were defined as “Critics” of their plans, meaning that they would be “unlikely” or only “likely” to recommend their plan to friends or family. Only 24 percent of those surveyed were considered “Advocates” who said they would “definitely” or be “extremely likely” to recommend their plan to friends or family.
